Fun Birthday!

Yesterday was one of the best birthdays I've ever had! My husband treated me like a queen, Anna came home, The Lord blessed me in so many ways, received great news on the business front ... Then went to a Walton High football game where the Raiders whomped on Lassiter!! But the biggest blessing were the texts and messages from Rachel's friends AND a birthday serenade from the entire Walton student body at the game! I must be doing something right if that many teenagers like me!!! Thank you Lord! You are a Good God! Despite what is going on in the world and life around me, HE STILL REIGNS! Hallelujah!!

Raider Pride Award!

Bill and I were honored to attend Walton High's Raider Pride Award ceremony this morning where Braxton was one of the recipients! A great speech from the GA attorney general and a free burrito from Moe's was well worth it!  In all seriousness, this award is highly valued by the school, because it honors students from all grades who have exemplified integrity, kindness, and a high moral character to their fellow classmates and community. It is faculty and staff nominated, so no one received because of beauty, wealth, or popularity!

Again, we are very proud of Braxton and believe he deserves this award! We are so very blessed to call him our son! Congratulations, Braxton! And thank you, Karen Romano, for nominating him!

Back to School!

On his way to senior breakfast
Today was the first day of school for Cobb County and my son, Braxton, drove himself to school! He is a senior at Walton High and Rachel is a junior. Hard to believe they're all grown up and living like independent adults (most of the time!). And our oldest, Anna, goes back to UGA tomorrow! It's back to reality for the Fridays!

A little sleepy the first day!
