Christmas 2016 πŸŽ„

The Friday household had an amazing Christmas this year! While the grandparents were cruising the isles, we continued the holiday traditions of food, gifts, church, family games, shopping, the Nutcracker ballet πŸ‘Έ and just having a grand ole time together. Several new additions were added to the mix: dear Alex and Cam. Also, Christmas Eve day was spent with the beautiful Ricks family who treated us with yummy food and showered us with amazing gifts. They are such a blessing!

Even though the kids are older now, Christmas is still fun and exciting. Santa still visits us πŸŽ…and the gifts are beautifully wrapped with fancy bows that take hours to unopen. We thank the heavenly Father for all He has done for us!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

FSU Parents Weekend, 2016

One of my favorite college campuses is FSU in the beautiful Tallahassee, FL. I am in love with the live oaks and Spanish moss and the old, Spanish-style architecture.

There is a certain, laid back feel to Florida that most likely comes from the heat. It was very hot this particular weekend, especially sitting all day in a sunny football stadium. But Bill and I didn't mind too much since we got to see Braxton march with the Marching CHIEFS and watch our NC Tarheel eek in a win against the Noles. Very exciting game! We love the Seminoles, but our blood still runs Carolina blue!

The Chiefs did a great halftime show to Grease, hence the 50s costumes. Braxton can do a mean hand jive. We also hit our fav eating establishments, including Midtown Caboose, Momo's Pizza and the IHOP. 4 Rivers bbq was excellent as well!

UKy Parents Weekend, 2016😼

I had the best time in Lexington traveling by myself to UK to visit Rachel and Cam for parents weekend. We shopped, ate, and hung out. I got a tour of the SAE house and ADPi house and saw a great football game against Vanderbilt.

I love spending time with them. πŸ’™❤πŸ’™ They were kind enough to include me in their pre-game festivities, including a Caturday tailgate, where I got to go back in time and experience being a college gal again. So much fun!

Memphis/Graceland Excursion

Bill and I made an impromptu visit to Memphis to attend a Covenant Eschatology bible seminar hosted by the great William H Bell of All Things Fulfilled Ministry and the foremost authority on Bible Eschatology, Don K Preston. Wonderful experience and met some great Christians from 7 different states.

Of course, we had to take a pilgrimage to Graceland, and it did not dissappoint. I loved everything about it, including the shag carpet on the ceiling of the Jungle Room.

Last stop was downtown on the riverwalk to get some famous bbq from Central BBQ. Yum!

Memphis is a beautiful city, and apparently the Willises (my peeps) are well known there, especially A W Willis, Jr. Very nice.
